about evergreen edit

My name is Emily

Hi! I'm Emily, the creator of Evergreen Edit. I live and learn on the traditional lands of the Dena'ina People of Upper Cook Inlet, known today as Anchorage Alaska. I spend a lot of time in wild Alaska- hiking, biking, packrafting, fishing, and foraging. Alaska has a way of stripping down everything down to what is real and what matters.

Alaska has glaciers that have been building for then thousand years and forests that have been standing before our great grand parents' generations were born. The land keeps nothing it doesn't need and wastes nothing it has.

Twelve billion pounds of clothing end up in US landfills every year. The average garment is worn 7 times before it is thrown out. The industry produces more carbon emissions than international flights & maritime shipping combined. When you love the natural world, the way I do,  you have to do something. The Evergreen Edit is my something.

Every single box I send keeps clothing out of a landfill. Every piece I forage is a garment that gets a second life with someone who will love it.

How it Works

Step 1 — Choose Your Box

Pick the tier that fits your style hunger right now. Whether you want a quick refresh or a full closet overhaul, there's a box for you. (See the full descriptions on The Boxes page.)

  • The Seedling — 2–3 pieces, perfect starter box

  • The Trail Box — 4–5 pieces, core tier

  • The Summit Box — 6–8 pieces, premium curation

  • The Full Expedition — 9–12 pieces + consultation

Step 2 — Fill Out Your Style Questionnaire

This is where the magic starts. You'll answer questions about your life, your style vision, what you're done wearing, and what your dream closet looks like. You'll link your Pinterest board (or send photos). The more you share, the better Emily can forage.

For Expedition-tier orders, you'll also schedule a 30-minute video call with Emily to go even deeper.

Step 3 — Emily Goes Foraging

This is Emily's favorite part. Armed with your questionnaire, your Pinterest board, and an almost unreasonable level of dedication, she heads out to thrift stores, estate sales, and secondhand sources in and around Anchorage.

She'll never force a piece that isn't right. If the perfect item doesn't exist yet, she keeps looking. This process takes 1–3 weeks — good foraging can't be rushed.

Step 4 — Your Box Is Packed

Every piece is washed, inspected, and steamed if needed. Nothing leaves Emily's hands that she wouldn't be proud to wear herself.

Each item is packed with a handwritten note explaining why Emily chose it for you specifically. Not a form note — a real note. Because you deserve to know the story behind what you're wearing.

Step 5 — It Arrives

Your box ships with tracking. When it lands at your door, you'll find tissue paper, your items, and Emily's notes — all ready to go straight into your closet.

A few days later, Emily will follow up personally to hear how everything landed. She genuinely wants to know.
